Ms. Vella Mbenna was born and raised in Midway, Georgia and graduated from Georgia Southern College. She served in 13 foreign countries on 5 continents and wrote a book about her adventures entitled “Muddy Roads Blue Skies-My Journey to the Foreign Service from the rural South to Tanzania and Beyond.”
