What is Career Online High School (COHS)?
Career Online High School (COHS) is an online private high school diploma and career certification program available through some of Florida’s public libraries. This program offers free enrollment to a limited number of qualified adult students.
Who can apply to COHS?
Must be 19 years or older, have a valid library card, have NOT earned a high school diploma or GED, and a be a resident of Nassau County.
What type of career certification will be offered?
Through this program you can earn your High School diploma; and a certificate for one of ten careers if you choose this option. Certificates are available for: Hospitality & Leisure, Food & Hospitality, Retail Customer Service, Office Management, Security Professional, Home Care Professional, Child Care and Education, and Commercial Driving.
Is all coursework web-based?
Yes. You can complete the entire course at the Public Library. Or you can use your own computer or laptop. COHS is now also available on fully internet accessible tablets.
Is all coursework in English?
Yes. However, you can now toggle easily between English and Spanish.
