Career Online High School

Once again Career Online High School is back! What is Career Online High School? COHS is a completely online, fully accredited, high school program. The program features interactive classes, visuals such as film clips, and you work at your own pace. Through this program you can earn your High School diploma; and a certificate for one of ten careers if you choose this option. Certificates are available for: Hospitality & Leisure, Food & Hospitality, Retail Customer Service, Office Management, Security Professional, Home Care Professional, Child Care and Education, and Commercial Driving. Over 11,000 people have graduated from this program to date.

The Florida legislature has funded scholarships to this program since 2009; though funding has not been consecutive. This year the FL legislature has appropriated $700,000; they will be giving away 594 scholarships around the state. To be eligible for the scholarship you need to register through your local public library. Nassau County will participate again in this program.

You may register online at fl.careeronlinehs.org. Or visit the Library website at https://nassaureads.com/careerhs. The Library’s link will be live September 27, 2021.

Don’t wait! Take the next step! If you are 19 years or older, have a library card, have NOT earned a high school diploma or GED prior, and you are a resident of Nassau County, you qualify! If you have completed any class work in high school you may be eligible to transfer those credits to this program.
