The mission of the Nassau County Public Library System is to be a gateway to the heritage of the past and to the promise of the future; offering opportunities for enrichment and discovery through lifelong learning, broad and varied resources, diverse programming, knowledgeable staff, courteous services, and comfortable, friendly, and safe library environments.

Accomplishments 2022-2023

  • Applied for and received State Aid grant- $32,246
  • Hosted 3 Cat Café fundraiser events
  • Procured and implemented a new electronic newsletter service, Dear Reader
  • Reinvigorated the Summer Reading program with electronic challenges through Beanstack, a reading-tracking app
  • Collaborated with Nassau County School District to help give students transferable library skills
  • Applied for E-Rate Funding Reimbursement for public and staff internet lines
  • Hosted “Welcome to the Library” events at several branches
  • Worked with Friends of the Library groups to secure Florida Talks grant that enabled the library to bring speakers from all over Florida to present programs on different topics.
